I have recently developed a big love for shoes. I love them because they can be the focal point of an outfit, or they can simply be a subtle addition to an entire look that you are trying to achieve. Here are some of my favorite shoes that I have been lusting over lately!

1. Poetic Licence ‘Spring Blooms’ Pump in Basil Green These slingback pumps instantly transport me to the 1950’s. I love the vintage inspired design and the fun colors! These shoes are perfect for spring and summer and can be dressed up or down quite easily. The pink heel is the perfect amount of sass for a date night, but the girlie leaves would look great paired with a flowy skirt for a picnic in the park!

2. Dolce Vita ‘Osorno’ Sandal in Gold

This sandal is the perfect staple for a summer closet. Most people don’t realize how easily gold goes with a variety of different colors and looks. I wear gold shoes with just about anything. These sandals are a nice mix between the “gladiator” trend and the t-strap style. Dolce Vita is one of my favorite shoe brands because they make some truly beautiful shoes.

3. Franco Sarto Artist Collection ‘Atlas’ Sandal in Torrone

Nude heels and shoes in general are very in style at the moment. The great thing about nude shoes is that if you pair them with a skirt or a dress, they elongate your legs by making your foot camouflage in with your legs. This is something that every woman can use, so make the nude heel your new best friend. These Franco Sarto heels are especially fun because they have a cute little zipper up the back of the foot. Its the little things, people!

4. Report ‘Kimball’ Flat in Black/White Stripe

This little number is super great for summer. Flats are a tricky business for summer because some can leave your feet too hot and sweaty (leather). These are fabric, plus there is a peep toe, which means no nasty foot perspiration for you. Okay, enough about foot sweat, these shoes are also just really cute and I adore the fringe.

5. Farylrobin ‘Owen’ Wedge in Multi

How fun are these sandals? The architectural heel and the bright color blocking makes these shoes a statement piece. I love wedges because they are so much easier for me to walk in than heels, especially if I am going to be wearing them for a night out or for more than 3 hours. These wedges are really breathtaking.

6. Sam Edelman ‘Hudson’ Sandal

Yep. You are seeing a zebra print gladiator sandal. I have seen these in person, and let me tell you, they are pretty fabulous. There is actual synthetic zebra hair, and they zip up the back. These would look great paired with a more basic outfit, such as denim cut off shorts and a baggy t-shirt. There are so many cool aspects to these sandals that you want to avoid clutter with a flashy outfit as well.

All of these shoes a different and unique. Play with different styles. If you are not as flashy, go with the basics but throw in one pair of flashy shoes every once in awhile. It will help you to branch out of your normal style.
