How We Style It!

One of our biggest requests we have from clients right now is “transition pieces, please!” It’s that time of year when fall is on the mind, but the thermostat is still bursting. Layers are still out of the questions, but here’s an easy way to take a great tunic and transition to fall, while still savoring those last few sweet drops of summer. We love this Piko1988 Tunic ($59) paired with the Joe’s Jeans Honey ($158) and the Steve Madden “Bride” ($79). The look is simple, easy to pull off and both the tunic and jeans can be worn all year-round.

How do I make this tunic work for early fall when it’s cold in the morning and hot by the afternoon?

Take the Tunic and denim into Fall: Pair the tunic and denim with a heavyweight twill jacket like this one by Freebird and add a fabulous pair of boots by Seychelles.

Celebrity Fashion Icon part 1

I have 2 current celebrities whose fashion expertise (or that of their stylist) I adore. The first is Camilla Belle.

I don’t really know much about this girl, besides the fact that 1. she dated a jonas brother (i don’t get it) 2. she is basically my age 3. her eyebrows kinda creep me out and 4. she was in that ridiculous horror movie about some cell phone killer or something….

BUT I also know that whenever I see photos of her she looks classy and extremely put together. I love most everything I have seen her in and she really knows how to dress for her body type. Observe:

Summer Reading List

One of my favorite things about summer is that I finally have the down time to read for pleasure. No more textbooks, no more online readings, just me and a good book. This summer (well now that I am officially a college graduate I guess I can read whenever, but anyways…) I have compiled a list of books that I want to read.

1. Eat Pray Love

by Elizabeth Gilbert

I have already tried reading this book, however I only got about a third into it before school started back up. So, the other day I picked it up in hopes of reading it before the movie comes out (starring the ever-fabulous Julia Roberts). I love that this book is about self-indulgence and desire.

2. Water for Elephants

by Sara Gruen

Again, I have heard about this book before but what really made me want to read it is that they are filming the movie right now. Okay, what really truly made me want to read it is that RPattz is going to be in it, and let’s be honest, I am only 22-years-old so I am allowed to be on the RPattz train…

3. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

I have heard really amazing stuff about this book (which is the first book in a trilogy) so I picked it up the other day. Unfortunately it was hard to get into so I put it down and replaced it with Eat Pray Love (I figure I should read it first since I am on a deadline…). BUT I fully intend on picking it up again and powering through the somewhat slow beginning.

4. The third book in The Hunger Games series

The Hunger Games is a series that I began reading a little less than a year ago. I could ramble about it for hours, because it is a really good story, but I won’t go there now. Anyways the third and final book in the trilogy comes out in August and I CANNOT wait! I even have a little countdown ticker on my computer for it (NERD, I know), and i am contemplating rereading the first two books in preparation.
